Three Rock Island physicians were inducted by the ISMS into the "Fifty Year Club," Dr. Shashi Upadhya, Dr. Myron Fields and Dr. Prem Virdi. During the April 12, 2011 General Membership Meeting, the society lauded them for their service and commitment to providing quality patient care and for their contributions to the community.

The Rock Island County Medical Society held an International Style Show at the Believers Together Community Center on September 29th, 2011. Proceeds from this event benefited the Child Abuse Council. This well attended event featured Alliance members who modeled their traditional dress from countries such as Scotland, Malaysia, the Philippines and Egypt, to name a few.
